Mocha Mic with Millie 9.19.24

September is going to be spectacular at Mocha Mic with Millie as we enjoy poetic and lyrical verse performances. Join us on September 19th from 6-9:30 PM at the bright and beautiful Cosy Cup Library, 424 West Side Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07304. The tribe of scribes and good vibes will be grooving in Cosy's lovely outdoor space with four superb features ready to share their artistry:

- Elijah Kelly @theorignalpoet_, The Original Poet (TOP): A writer and educator from Newark, Trenton, and Ewing, channeling his journey into powerful poetry.

- Thought Provokah @thought_provokah: A New York rapper blending hip-hop, soul, blues, jazz, and funk, shaped by his family's love of music.

- TJ @t_ony9871: A Jersey City-based spoken word poet, photographer, actor, and musician competing in poetry slams across NY and NJ.

- Simple and Clean a.k.a. SNC the poet is a nationally ranked spoken word artist from Jersey City who won a national championship in 2017 and now mentors’ young writers.

Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the show starts at 6:30 PM. We’ll have @ellisndesign capturing the festivities, and delicious small bites from Emerlyn of M’s Paint Bar available for purchase. The event is BYOB, with Mocha Mic with Millie merch and other vendors present. Open mic slots are limited, so reach out if you'd like to perform.
