ABOUT JAMES BALLY

James Bally is a graduate of Elizabeth High School where he played in the Symphonic and Jazz ensembles and William Paterson where he earned a BA in jazz perfromance. A composer and arranger, James is a recipient of the perstigious Dorthann Kirk Scholarship and studied classical piano with Sondra Tammam and jazz piano with Oscar Perez. He has attended the Louis Armstrong Jazz Camp in New Orleans and played with the Jazz House Kids Big Band Ambassadors in Montclair. In addition, he performed during the “virtual” jazz class conducted by MEA Member and jazz pianist/composer Dan Crisci at the 9th Taubman Festival in Montclair in June.
