Pysanka (Easter egg) Etching at the Ukrainian National Home of Jersey City

Join us at the Ukrainian National Home of Jersey City to make your very own etched pysanka! The workshop is perfect for both complete beginners and seasoned pysanka makers who are looking to add some depth to their work.

Egg etching has similar techniques to the wax-resist methods of traditional pysanky, but no prerequisite skills are required. The instructor will guide participants through every step of the process.

This workshop will focus specifically on egg etching with vinegar on brown eggs. By the end, you’ll have a beautiful pysanka to take home with you, along with the tools needed to make more on your own!
