Update on Mail carrier robbery June 1, 2023

On May 13 2023, at 3:27 pm, Millburn Police Officer Dundon responded to Walnut Ave on a report of a Robbery of a postal mail carrier employee. The victim reported that two unknown black males wearing black ski masks and dark clothing approached him on the front lawn of a Walnut Ave residence and demanded his postal keys and then threatened to rough him up for them. The Victim then ran in an attempt to escape the suspects. The two male actors were able to catch up to him and push him to the ground. The actors then wrestled with the victim and removed the postal keys from his belt loop. The actors were seen leaving the area in a silver Mercedes Benz sedan. The victim suffered minor injuries. This incident is being investigated by the Millburn detective bureau.

*UPDATE *
On June 1, 2023 after a thorough investigation, the Milburn Detective Bureau was able to identify one of the male suspects that committed the robbery against the Millburn postal employee on May 13, 2023. The suspect was identified as Zachary Lyttle (age 24) of New City, New York. A warrant for his arrest has been issued. He was charged with 2nd degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. The second suspect has still not been identified.

These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
