Dates: 07/03/23 – 07/09/23
1. On July 4th, 2023, at 12:24 AM, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division were dispatched to
7000 Park Avenue (Benny’s Liquors) for a report of an unwanted party. During their on-scene investigation, members of
the Guttenberg Police Department arrested a 39-year-old female, Christine E. Obrien, of North Bergen, NJ. Ms. Obrien
was arrested and charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Resisting
Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)], and Disorderly Conduct [2C:33-2A]. Ms. Obrien was later issued a complaint warrant and
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Center in Kearny, NJ.
2. On July 7th, 2023, at 2:37 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, the Guttenberg Police Department arrested a 39-year-old
male, Fabio A. Tavarez-Gonzalez, of Far Rockaway, NY. Mr. Tavarez-Gonzalez was arrested and charged with Driving
While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Tavarez-Gonzalez was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then
released from custody.
3. On July 8th, 2023, at 1:29 AM, members of the Guttenberg Police Department located and arrested a 58-year-old
male, Richard C. Medina, of North Bergen, NJ. Mr. Medina had an active criminal warrant from the Fort Lee Police
Department for Burglary. Later, Mr. Medina was transferred into the custody of officers from the Fort Lee Police
Department.
