On 03/11/2023, at 1454 hours, an officer observed a vehicle impeded the flow of traffic at the intersection of Cape May Street and Frank E Rodgers. The officer proceeded to assist the motorist when he observed an expired temporary registration affixed to the vehicle. A check of the registration was completed and the registration was an expired tag and also belonged to another vehicle. The driver was asked about the license plates and admitted to the officer that he knew it was wrong but needed to drive the vehicle. A computer check was done on the driver and it showed that the driver was a wanted person form another jurisdiction. The diver was arrested and transported to headquarters without incident. The driver was processed on the open warrant (no bail) and was picked up by the issuing jurisdiction.
ON 03/11/2023, at 1742 hours, officers were dispatched to 100 block of Frank E Rodgers Blvd. on a report of a suspicious male in the store. Upon the officer’s arrival they spoke to the store employee who identified the male, who was still inside the store. A computer check was completed and it was shown that the male party had an open warrant out of a neighboring jurisdiction. The male party was arrested on the warrant and transported to headquarters without incident. The issuing authority was contacted and a ROR was sent, giving the male party a new court date. He was released without incident.
On 03/12/2023, at 2326 hours, an officer conducted a random license plate check on a vehicle at the intersection of Hamilton Street and Davis Court. The results showed an outstanding warrant for the registered owner. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver. The driver, who was the registered owner was advised of the open warrant and was placed under arrest. The driver was transported to headquarters and processed on the warrant. The driver posted the proper amount of bail, and was released.
On 03/12/2023, at 1758 hours, an officer observed a motor vehicle commit a minor motor vehicle infraction at the intersection of Frank E Rodgers Blvd. and Angelo Cifelli Drive. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver. A computer check was completed and it was shown that the driver has multiple warrants from multiple jurisdictions. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters, where he was processed on the open warrants. All jurisdictions were contacted and sent new courts for the driver. He was issued a summons for the infraction and released.
On 03/13/2023, at 2014 hours, an officer observed a motorist commit a motor vehicle infraction at the intersection of Angelo Cifelli Drive and Frank E Rodgers Blvd. A motor vehicle was conducted and contact was made with the driver a few blocks away. The driver refused to provide the documentation requested by officers and a supervisor was called to the scene. After obtaining his identity, it was shown that that the driver had two outstanding warrants from a neighboring jurisdiction, one being a no bail warrant. The driver was arrested and transported to headquarters where he was processed and eventually released into the custody of the issuing authority. The driver received numerous summonses and the vehicle was impounded.
On 03/13/2023, at 2229 hours, a HPD officer observed a vehicle with extensive damage that may have been involved in a motor vehicle accident. When the officer gave dispatch the drivers information it was shown that he is a suspended driver and there is an outstanding warrant from a neighboring jurisdiction. The driver was arrested on the open warrant and transported to headquarters. The vehicle, which was involved in an accident, was impounded for being inoperable. The driver was processed on the open warrant and was released with a ROR from the issuing town.
On 03/14/2023, at 1630 hours, officers observed an individual exiting an establishment they knew had an outstanding warrant from the Town of Harrison. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters without incident. The suspect was processed on the open no bail warrant and transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 03/15/2023, at 1415 hours, units were dispatched to the 600 block of Sussex Street on a report of a couple arguing in the street, which turned out to be unfounded. Upon the unit’s arrival they observed a male individual that they knew had outstanding warrants. The suspect was arrested on the open warrants and transported to headquarters without incident. The suspect was processed on the open warrants and released from custody after the issuing authority sent two ROR’s giving him new court dates.
On 03/15/2023, at 2204 hours, an officer conducted a random plate check on a vehicle at the intersection of Warren Street and First St. The registration did not match the vehicle the officer was observing and a motor vehicle stop was conducted. After making contact with the driver, who admitted to the fictitious plates and admitted to being an suspended driver, his credentials were requested. A computer check was completed on the driver and it was shown that the driver had two outstanding warrants. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. The driver was processed on the open warrants and was released after receiving new court dates from both issuing authorities. The driver received numerous summonses and the vehice was impounded.
