Parking consultant presents Parking Study to Mayor and Council

On January 24, 2023, parking consultant Robert Baselice presented his findings and recommendations to the Mayor and Town Council. Last year, the Town contracted with Mr. Baselice’s company, Advanced Parking Planning Systems, to prepare a feasibility study to create additional parking opportunities for residents. Mr. Baselice conducted a town hall meeting in June 2022 with residents and municipal officials, analyzed and evaluated Kearny’s existing parking ordinances, conducted a townwide survey to gather feedback and comments from residents, and visited neighbourhoods in all four wards to personally inspect and assess Kearny’s parking problems. Mr. Baselice’s expertise comes from 18 years of experience managing the North Bergen Parking Authority. He graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in mathematics and is a board member of the New Jersey Parking Institute.
