1. On August 14th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, the Guttenberg Police Department arrested 37-year-old Yusney
Fernandez-Torrez of West New York, NJ. During the motor vehicle stop, Mr. Fernandez-Torrez provided members of the
Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division with a fictitious driver’s license. After uncovering that the license was
fictitious, Mr. Fernandez-Torrez was arrested and transported to Guttenberg Police headquarters for processing. Mr.
Fernandez-Torrez was charged with possessing false government documents [2C:21-2.1]. Upon the completion of his
arrest processing, Mr. Fernandez-Torrez was issued his complaint summons and released from police custody.
2. On August 17th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, the Guttenberg Police Department arrested 36-year-old Miguel A.
Faneite of Union City, NJ. Mr. Faneite was charged with driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Upon the completion of his
arrest processing, Mr. Faneite was issued his summons and released from police custody.
3. On August 17th, 2023, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 142
71st Street for a report of a fight and a male possessing a large machete. Upon their arrival, officers did not encounter
any individuals fighting or possessing a machete at the time. During their on-scene investigation, it was determined that
all individuals involved were juveniles. During the course of the investigation, video surveillance footage was recovered,
and juvenile criminal complaints related to the matter were signed accordingly.
4. On August 17th, 2023, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 69th
Street and Park Avenue for a report of two males who were opening fire hydrants, allowing the water to flow out into
the street. Both males were arrested for disorderly conduct [2C:33-2A] and transported to Guttenberg Police
headquarters for processing. At police headquarters, it was uncovered that both males had initially provided officers
with false information regarding their identities. After positively identifying them both, 28-year-old Ulices R. GameroBorja of West New York, NJ, was charged with disorderly conduct [2C:33-2A]. During his arrest processing, it was also
uncovered that Mr. Gamero-Borja had an active warrant out of the West New York Municipal Court in the amount of
$500.00. As a result, Mr. Gamero-Borja was also charged with hindering his own apprehension [2C:29-3B]. Upon the
completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Gamero-Borja was issued his complaint summons and released from police
custody on his own recognizance. The second male, 46-year-old Eddie Santiago of West New York, NJ, was also charged
with disorderly conduct [2C:33-2A]. During his arrest processing, it was also discovered that he had three active criminal
warrants, two from Newark’s Municipal Court and one from the Jersey City Municipal Court. As a result, Mr. Santiago
was also charged with hindering his own apprehension [2C:29-3B]. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr.
Santiago was issued his complaint summons and then transferred into the custody of the Jersey City Police Department.
5. On August 18th, 2023, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of
Bergenline Avenue and 70th Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Once on scene, officers located one of the
involved vehicles, idling in the middle of the roadway, unoccupied. Witnesses observed a male driver exit the vehicle
after the accident and run away from the scene. As a result of their investigation, officers quickly located the driver, who
fled, with the assistance of witnesses who remained on the scene to provide officers with the necessary information.
After locating the driver, 39-year-old Aroldo G. Cuque Lopez of West New York, NJ, was arrested for driving while
intoxicated [39:4-50], obstructing the administration of law [2C:29-1A], and obstructing highways and other public
passages [2C:33-7A]. During the on-scene investigation, officers also encountered a female who attempted to enter the
vehicle used by Mr. Cuque Lopez. The female alleged that she was, in fact, driving the vehicle and not Mr. Cuque Lopez.
However, due to the fact that officers reviewed local surveillance cameras of the accident, officers immediately knew
the female was providing them with false information. At that time, 33-year-old Alondra A. Alcantara of Guttenberg, NJ,
was arrested for hindering the apprehension of another [2C:29-3A]. Mr. Cuque Lopez and Ms. Alcantara were
transported to Guttenberg Police headquarters for processing. Upon the completion of their arrest processing, they
were both issued their complaint summons and released from police custody.
6. On August 18th, 2023, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau located and
arrested 39-year-old Christine E. Obrien of North Bergen, NJ. Ms. Obrien had an active warrant out of the State of New
York. At police headquarters, Ms. Obrien was charged with being a fugitive from justice [2A:160-10]. Upon the
completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Obrien was issued her complaint warrant and then lodged in the Hudson
County Correctional Center.

guilty in a court of law.
