Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

This Saturday, tomorrow, from 9 am to 4 pm at the Senior Center is their huge Rummage Sale with thousands of items available. Toys, Books, Strollers, Bikes, Golf Bags, Household Items, Jewelry, Glassware, Frames, Art Work, and more. Everything is priced to sell! While you are there the Senior Center Café is open for lunch or a snack! On Monday, stop in and shop from 9 to 11 am and fill a bag for only $10.00. See you there!

Congratulations to coach Adam Saia and Tenafly Little League’s 12u travel team for a successful run at Cooperstown this past week where they competed at Dreams Park. You’ve made us all exceedingly proud!

Our next concert is Tuesday, August 29th at 7 pm in Huyler Park. Come on down and enjoy a Blues Guitar with a Twist of Soul with Saron Crenshaw. Then on Thursday, August 31st, the final summer concert of this season will be the great jazz riffs of the Mel Nusbaum Quartet. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs.

SAVE THE DATE! The Tenafly Welcome! committee would like to welcome our new residents from September 2022 to the present date to the New Residents’ party at the Peace Plaza next to the library, September 7, from 6:00-8:00pm. It’s a wonderful fun filled time with hors-d’oeuvres, desserts, balloons and raffle prizes! An evening of fun for the whole family! Check your mail for your personal invitations.

Registration is now open for the Nature Center's Apple Cider Making programs. This seasonal favorite starts Sunday, September 10 and runs Sundays through October. The Nature Center will provide the apples and the press. Learn about the history of apple cultivation and cider making and experience one of the original ways of making fresh, crisp apple cider! Feel free to bring a few apples of your favorite cultivar! Register today at TenaflyNC.org

The Presbyterian Church is hosting a Rainforest Adventure Camp for ages 4 years old to fifth grade, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM August 28, 29, and 30. Register online at tenaflypresby.org.

Save the date for Tenafly’s 9th Annual Community Night on Tuesday, September 12th from 5 pm to 8 pm. Join us for food, drinks, entertainment, amusement rides, a DJ, emergency service demonstrations and the 9/11 mobile museum. Community Night is free to all residents.
