Secaucus Police Blotter 08/21/2023-08/27/2023

On 08/21/2023 at 4:39 PM, Secaucus Police responded to CVS located at 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 68-year-old female, Diana Whelan of Secaucus, NJ along with a 39-year-old female, Eleanor Whelan of Secaucus, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Ms. Eleanor Whelan was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically a paring knife. Ms. Eleanor Whelan was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Montville, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Ms. Whelan was able to post bail for the involved warrant. Both parties were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 08/21/2023 at 9:36 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Cliffside Park Police Department to take into custody a 34-year-old male, Carlos Luciano of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Mr. Luciano was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 08/23/2023 at 1:10 AM, Secaucus Police received a report of a vehicle driving recklessly which caused a motor vehicle accident in the area of Trolley Park. The vehicle reportedly fled the scene and a motor vehicle stop was conducted with the involved vehicle in the area of Born Street. During the investigation, the police arrested a 62-year-old male, John Notte of Little Falls, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Notte was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 08/24/2023 at 4:04 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a Bias incident that occurred at the Dunkin Donuts located at 1351 Paterson Plank Road on 08/23/2023, the police arrested a 70 year old male, Alfred Viggiano of Secaucus, NJ for Harassment [2C:33-4C] and Bias Intimidation [2C:16-1A(2)]. Mr. Viggiano voluntarily entered Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road and turned himself for the charges. Mr. Viggiano was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 08/24/2023 at 4:37 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38-year-old male, Michael McCall of Orange, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. McCall was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $750.00 with a 10% option. Mr. McCall was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 08/24/2023 at 3:38 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Burlington Coat Factory located at 31 Mill Creek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38-year-old male, Michael McCall of Orange, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. McCall was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $750.00 with a 10% option. Mr. McCall was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 08/25/2023 at 8:58 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 45 Meadowlands Parkway and arrested a 29 year old male, Elvis Vasquez-Guzman of Secaucus, NJ for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5B(2)], specifically a BB Gun. Mr. Vasquez-Guzman was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 08/26/2023 at 9:27 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23-year-old male, Jeury Feliz of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $750.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Feliz was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses, was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently released from police custody.
