Secaucus Police Blotter 09/04/2023-09/10/2023

On 09/04/2023 at 2:25 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Royal Motel located at 650 Route 3 West on a report of an assault. Upon arrival of the police, the actor involved in the assault had fled from the responding officers. A foot pursuit ensued, where the police were able to take into custody a 23-year-old male, Gregory Capers of Paterson, NJ for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(1)], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Resisting Arrest by Force [2C:29-2A(1)], Resisting Arrest by Flight [2C:29-2A(2)] and Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(1)]. Mr. Capers was ultimately taken into custody at 41 Valley Court. The police also arrested a 33 year old female, Megan Holler of West Orange, NJ for Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)] and Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)]. Ms. Holler was taken into custody at the Royal Motel. Both Mr. Capers and Ms. Holler were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 09/04/2023 at 3:00 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a hit and run motor vehicle crash that occurred on Route 3 West where the involved parties reportedly fled the scene. The police observed the individuals believed to be involved in the area of Meadowlands Parkway and Broadcast Plaza. During the investigation, the police arrested a 28-year-old male, Ruben Gamero-Alberto of Kearny, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Gamero-Alberto was also found to have 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Union City, NJ with no bail. Mr. Gamero-Alberto was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently transported to the Union City Police Department.

On 09/06/2023 at 10:08 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Allegro Sanitation located at 278 Secaucus Road for the purpose of serving an outstanding warrant for an employee at the location. During the investigation, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Chris Ortiz of Bayonne, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bayonne, NJ with no bail. Mr. Ortiz was subsequently transported to the Bayonne Police Department.

On 09/06/2023 at 6:40 PM, Secaucus Police conducted a pedestrian stop of an individual who did not cross within the crosswalk area located at Paterson Plank Road and Plaza Centre Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 52-year-old male, Daniel Tripp of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Suboxone [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Tripp was issued his complaint summons along with 1 Title 39 summons for Failing to Cross within the Crosswalk [39:4-34] and he was released from police custody.

On 09/07/2023 at 11:52 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Route 3 West and Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a disabled vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old male, Bryan Capellan-Valdez of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Augusta, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Capellan-Valdez was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 09/07/2023 at 6:37 PM, the police arrested a 38-year-old male, Miguel Vintimilla-Pinos of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ with no bail. Mr. Vintimilla-Pinos was taken into custody at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Vintimilla-Pinos was subsequently transported to the North Bergen Police Department.

On 09/09/2023 at 1:43 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 47-year-old male, Charles Ward of Yonkers, NY for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Yonkers, NY with no bail. Mr. Ward was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Mahwah, NJ in the amount of $225.00. Mr. Ward was also charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Ward was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
