Students from Kearny High School gathered in their school’s stadium for the annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony. As part of the solemn occasion, an American flag was hoisted at the school’s dedicated 9/11 memorial site, featuring a fragment of World Trade Center steel and an evocative monument. This monument, with its marble centerpiece, poignantly portrays high school students witnessing the tragic events through their classroom windows. Every year on September 11th, the community of Kearny unites to pause, reflect, and pay homage to the lives lost, while also honoring the resilience of survivors and the courage of first responders.
