Guttenberg Police Blotter - September 18th, 2023 to September 24th, 2023

1. On September 18th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 37-year-old Axel F. Martinez-Osuna, of West New York, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. During their on-scene investigation, it was also discovered that Mr. Martinez-Osuna had two active warrants from the North Bergen Municipal Court and the Ridgefield Park Municipal Court. Mr. Martinez-Osuna was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. MartinezOsuna was issued his summons and released on his own recognizance, pending new court dates with the North Bergen and Ridgefield Park Municipal Courts.

2. On September 19th, 2023, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to 7000 John F. Kennedy Boulevard East for a report of criminal mischief. Their on-scene investigation, along with a witness statement, determined that a male had forcefully lifted a parking garage gate arm because he did not wish to pay for parking. Members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau continued the investigation and identified the suspect. On September 22nd, 38-year-old John D. Fenrich of Bayside, NY, was arrested by Detectives for criminal mischief [2C:17-3]. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Fenrich was issued his complaint summons and then released from police custody.

3. On September 22nd, 2023, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Bureau responded to the area of 68th Street and Hudson Avenue after receiving a report of a home invasion. Officers and Detectives received video surveillance footage from within the victim’s apartment, depicting the entire burglary. As the investigation continued, it was uncovered that two suspects were involved in the burglary, one who entered the apartment and the second who was a lookout in front of the victim’s building. The burglary began and ended, all while the victim and her daughter were asleep inside a locked bedroom. Officers and Detectives quickly identified the suspect, who remained outside of the building after reviewing surveillance camera footage from various locations in the area. Shortly after identifying him as one of the suspects, 34-year-old Albert A. Ayala of Guttenberg, NJ, was located walking near the crime scene. Mr. Ayala was then arrested and charged with receiving stolen property [2C:20-7A], conspiracy to commit burglary [2C:5-2A(1)/2C:18-2A(2)], and conspiracy to commit theft [2C5-2A(1)/2C:20-3A]. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Ayala was issued his complaint warrant and then lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.

4. On September 23rd, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 41-year-old Diana C. Pineiros-Flores of West New York, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ms. Pineiros-Flores was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Pineiros-Flores was issued her summons and released from police custody.

5. On September 24th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 29-year-old Cristhian M. Chambamafla of Guttenberg, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Chambamafla was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Chambamafla was issued his summons and then released from police custody.

The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
