Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.
Today at 4:45 PM, adjacent to Cafe Angelique, our community will join together around a symbolic empty Shabbat Table to witness the impact of so many empty chairs, each representing children, women, and men of all ages, as we hope for the safe return and immediate release of all hostages.
Tenafly High Schools’ Kay Considine and Zoe Han are to be congratulated on winning the 1st Statewide Doubles Championship in the storied program history of Girls Tennis. And, congratulations to Boys Varsity Soccer on winning the National Conference championship. This marks the 1st outright conference championship in almost 10 years.
Tomorrow, Saturday, October 28 the Senior Center is having a Fall Halloween Pancake Breakfast and Bake Sale. Doors open at 9:00 am. Tickets available at the door. $7.00 Adults and $5.00 for children. See you there!
A new Mom and Dad and Me group is starting tomorrow, Saturday, from 9:30 to 11 AM at the Presbyterian Church House on 55 Magnolia Avenue. Coffee and chat for the parents, and lots of fun for kids ages 5 and under. No costs and everyone is welcome.
Tenafly High School presents a magical performance of “A Midsummer Nights Dream” on November 2, 3 and 4 at 7:30 PM in the High School Auditorium. Featuring a talented cast and crew of THS students who have dedicated their time and passion to bring this Shakespearean masterpiece to life. Tickets are available at www.thstheater.com

On Sunday, November 5, at 2 PM in the Library Art Gallery, join the Library Friends to hear the beautiful sounds of the Metamorphic Winds Saxophone Quartet. Immediately after the concert, the Friends will hold their annual Apple Cider Social. Drink some cider, eat delicious desserts and support your library!
Registration is now open for the Nature Center's Autumn Break Camp on Thursday, November 9 and Friday, November 10. When school is out, your child can keep learning and have fun too!
