Guttenberg Police Blotter - November 6th, 2023 to November 12th, 2023

1. On November 7th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 27-year-old Carlos A. Puentes of North Bergen, NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant issued by the Weehawken Municipal Court. Mr. Puentes was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. At police headquarters, Mr. Puentes posted the full bail amount of $750.00. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Puentes was released on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance with the Weehawken Municipal Court.

2. On November 7th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 29-year-old Alexander Rodriguez of North Bergen, NJ, after he walked away from his vehicle and refused to return to his vehicle during the motor vehicle stop. At police headquarters, Mr. Rodriguez was charged with obstructing the administration of law [2C:29-1A] and hindering his own apprehension [2C:29-3B]. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Rodriguez was issued his complaint summons, his traffic summons, and then released from police custody.

3. On November 10th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 27-year-old Joseph DeLacruz of Brooklyn, NY, after discovering that he had an active warrant issued by the East Orange Municipal Court. Mr. DeLacruz was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. DeLacruz was released on his own recognizance, pending his new court date with the East Orange Municipal Court.

The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
