November 16, 2023, East Orange, NJ: To kick off the season of giving, Mayor Ted R. Green — in conjunction with the Ted R. Green Foundation, 4th Avenue Halal Meats, Crosstown Plumbing, Triangle Equities Development and Hero Development, LLC — are hosting a Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway on Saturday, November 18, 2023 between 11am-2pm while supplies last.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to pass on blessings to our residents, especially those in need of assistance,” said Mayor Green. “This turkey giveaway allows families to come together, enjoy a delicious meal, and create fond memories of this holiday season. It is always heartwarming to give, and kindness is a universal act that connects all of us as a community. Thank you to our generous sponsors and volunteers for your continued support.”
The giveaway will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 66 S. Grove Street. East Orange residents should enter on Hollywood and 9th Avenues and be prepared to show proof of identification. Walk ups and drive ups are welcome. All distributed turkeys will be 100% Halal.
