Guttenberg Police Blotter - December 11th, 2023 to December 17th, 2023

1. On December 14th, 2023, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a verbal dispute at 6808 John F. Kennedy Boulevard. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 38-year-old Edgar A. Herrera of Kearny, NJ, for unlawful possession of a weapon [2C:39-5D] and terroristic threats [2C:12-3A]. Mr. Herrera was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Herrera was issued his complaint warrant and lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.

2. On December 15th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 23-year-old William D. Fuentes-Acosta of Guttenberg, NJ, after discovering that he had two active warrants issued by the Guttenberg and North Bergen Municipal Courts. Mr. Fuentes-Acosta was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. At police headquarters, Mr. Fuentes-Acosta was able to post bail and was then released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearances.

3. On December 15th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 27-year-old Alfredo Coyelias of North Bergen, NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Mr. Coyelias was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. At police headquarters, Mr. Coyelias was able to post full bail and was released, pending his next court appearance with the Guttenberg Municipal Court.

4. On December 16th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 30-year-old Kevin Morales of Elizabeth, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Morales was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Morales was issued various summons for traffic violations and then released from police custody.

5. On December 17th, 2023, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 45-year-old Sandy H. Collantes-Meza of Paterson, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ms. CollantesMeza was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Collantes-Meza was issued various summons for traffic violations and then released from police custody.

The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
