The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Jersey City on Monday, May 15, 2023.
At approximately 2:22 a.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a collision on Kennedy Boulevard in the area of St. Pauls Avenue. Responding officers found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames on the northbound side of the roadway. The driver, tentatively identified as a 25-year-old Jersey City man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from the Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force and the Jersey City Police Department.
