Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

The Recycling Center will be open on Sunday, December 24th from 8:00 am until an early close at 10:00 am. The DPW and Recycling Center will be closed December 25 and 26 for the Christmas holiday. The scheduled Tuesday, December 26th commingled recycling route (Zone 3) will be collected as normal.

Congratulations to the High School Ice Hockey team for their win over Mt. Olive on Tuesday to move their season record to 4-0 this year. This marks one of the best starts to the season for the program since 2011.

The Senior Center invites you to visit the Center for details about the numerous upcoming 2024 trips including, the theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Newport, Rhode Island, Mystic Connecticut, the United Nations, Boulder Stadium Baseball Games, Broadway shows and much more.

The Nature Center is grateful for the support of the community and welcome all to enjoy the trails this holiday season. While the visitors center will be closed on Monday, December 25, the trails will remain open. Admission is waived in honor of the holiday but all donations are welcome. Please support our Nature Center in its mission of preservation and education.

The Mommy/Daddy and Me group will not meet this Saturday in the Church House, but will resume as regularly scheduled on Saturday, December 30th at 55 Magnolia Avenue. Coffee and chat for the parents and lots of fun toys for the kids.
