Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-InCharge Isa Abbassi announce that on November 10, 2023, at approximately 12:44 a.m., members
of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Park Avenue and Straight
Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a reported shooting. Officers located the victim, a 33-year-old
male from Paterson with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University
Medical Center where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.
This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes
available.
