Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Haledon Police Department Chief Angelo J.
Daniele announce that at approximately 4:06 p.m. on October 29, 2023, members of the Haledon
Police Department were dispatched to the area of Ida Street and North 16th Street in Haledon, New
Jersey on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival members of the Haledon Police Department located
a 27-year-old male South Brunswick, New Jersey resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot
wound and was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for
treatment. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
