Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 6:16 a.m. on June 25, 2023, members of the
Paterson Police Department were advised that a 23-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at
Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey seeking treatment for a nonfatal gunshot wound. The victim is in stable condition.
Based on the preliminary investigation it is believed the shooting took place in the area of
Market Street and Madison Street in Paterson, New Jersey. The investigation remains active and
ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
