Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman
announce that at approximately 7:22 p.m. on May 17, 2023, members of the Passaic Police
Department responded to the area of Main Avenue and Highland Avenue on a report of shots
fired. Upon arrival members of the Passaic Police Department observed a potential crime scene,
but no victim was located.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
