Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Major Frederick P. Fife announces that at approximately 1:21 a.m. on April 24, 2023,
members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to University Hospital in Newark,
New Jersey upon a report 26-year-old male Paterson, New Jersey resident who advised that he
sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound in the area of Presidential Boulevard and Temple Street in
Paterson, New Jersey on April 23, 2023 at approximately 11:45 p.m.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
