Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro announce
that at approximately 9:04 p.m. on March 10, 2023, members of the Paterson Police Department
were dispatched to 12th Avenue and William Street on report of shots fired. Upon arrival,
members of the Paterson Police Department located a potential crime and a 20-year-old male
Paterson, New Jersey resident suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. Aid was immediately
rendered to the victim, and he was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in
Paterson, New Jersey for treatment.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
