Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman
announce that at approximately 10:35 p.m. on March 12, 2023, members of the Passaic Police
Department responded to the area of 24 Martha Place on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival,
members of the Passaic Police Department located a potential crime scene and a 21-year-old
male Passaic resident suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds. Aid was immediately rendered
to the victim, and he was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson,
New Jersey.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
