Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro announce that at approximately 11:10 p.m. on March 7, 2023, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to 12th Avenue and Straight Street on report of shots fired. Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located a potential crime scene but no victims were located. Shortly thereafter, a 38-year-old male Paterson, New Jersey resident and a 39-year-old male Mount Holly, New Jersey resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey via private vehicle seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
