Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Acting Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro
announce that at approximately 2:47 p.m. on February 26th, 2023, a 32-year-old Paterson, New
Jersey resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for
treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound. A preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting
took place in the area of East 22nd Street and 12 Avenue in the City of Paterson.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it
becomes available.
