On December 28, 2023, Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to Long Hill Drive on a report of a
burglary to the residence. While Officers were conducting a check of the residence, it was revealed that
someone had forced entry into the residence. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn
Police Detective Bureau.
On December 29, 2023, Millburn Police Officer Michael Matos responded to Kings in Short Hills on a
report of theft that just occurred. King’s associates reported that Jacquelin Catalano, age 63, of Warren
NJ, concealed $150.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under
arrest and charged with shoplifting.
On December 29, 2023, Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to Macy’s at the Mall at Short Hills for a
report of theft. Macy’s associates reported that William Cortes, age 48, of Bergen NJ, concealed
$225.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under arrest and
charged with shoplifting.
On December 30, 2023, Millburn Police Officer Kostovski responded to a Birchwood Drive residence on a
report of a burglary to the residence. The investigation revealed that someone had forced entry into the
residence. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On December 30, 2023, Millburn Police Officer Lyons stopped a 2002 blue Ford van on Morris Ave for
motor vehicle violations. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen out of Elizabeth. The
driver Robin Spencer-Davis, age 37, of Irvington NJ and the passenger Jason Freeman, age 50, of
Irvington were placed under arrest and charged with receiving stolen property, possession of CDS,
forgery, and credit card theft. Both suspects had multiple arrest warrants.
On January 3,2024, Millburn Police Officer Matos stopped a 2006 Honda Pilot at the Short Hills Mall for
having fictious temporary license plate. Further investigation led to the arrest of Ashley Paden, age 33,
of Hopelawn NJ. She was charged with driving while suspended driver’s license, hindering, and
tampering with public records.
On January 4, 2023, Millburn Police Officer Aliotta responded to a Midhurst Road residence on a report
of burglary to a vehicle. The owner reported that someone entered his unlocked 2020 Ford explorer.
There was nothing taken. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective
Bureau.
On January 5, 2023, Millburn Police Officer Andrew Tucker responded to the Short Hills Garden
Apartments on a report of burglary to a vehicle. The resident reported someone entered his unlocked
2019 Nissan Rogue, and stole an item. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police
Detective Bureau.
These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or
are found guilty in a court of law.
