Over the course of the last several weeks, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal
Investigations Bureau and the Drug Enforcement Administration have been conducting a criminal investigation into
narcotics trafficking in the Town of Guttenberg. On January 26th, 2024, at approximately 5:05 AM, the Criminal
Investigations Bureau and the Drug Enforcement Administration, with the assistance of the Hudson County Regional
SWAT Team, executed a Hudson County Superior Court authorized search warrant at a home on 69th Street.
As a result of this criminal investigation, Detectives recovered over one ounce of suspected heroin, various
prescription pills believed to be Oxycodone, Morphine, Lamotrigine, Hydrochlorothiazide, Doxycycline Hyclate, and
Lamotrigine, cutting agents used for the manufacturing of controlled dangerous substances, packaging materials
commonly utilized to package and distribute narcotics, and an excess of $22,000 dollars in United States currency
believed to be the proceeds of illicit narcotics trafficking. Due to the evidence recovered, Detectives arrested 57-year-old
Roberto I. Miranda-Delgado of Guttenberg, NJ, and 35-year-old Jaclyn M. Ciaramella of Guttenberg, NJ. Both Mr.
Miranda-Delgado and Ms. Ciaramella were charged with the following: maintaining or operating a controlled dangerous
substance production facility [2C:35-4], the distribution of heroin [2C:35-5B(3)], four (4) counts of the distribution of
heroin within 1,000 feet of school property [2C:35-7A], two (2) counts of the distribution of heroin within 500 feet of a
park/public housing/public building [2C:35-7.1A], four (4) counts of the possession of a controlled dangerous substance
[2C:35-10A(1)], three (3) counts of the distribution of prescription legend drugs [2C:35-10.5A(3)], three (3) counts of the
possession of prescription legend drugs without a valid prescription [2C:35-10.5E(2)], two (2) counts of failing to make
lawful disposition [2C:35-10C], the possession of certain prescription drugs in other than the prescribed container
[2C:35-24], the possession of drug paraphernalia [2C:36-2A], and money laundering [2C:21-25A].
Following their arrest, Mr. Miranda-Delgado and Ms. Ciaramella were transported to the Guttenberg Police
Department for their arrest processing. Upon the completion of their arrest processing, Mr. Miranda-Delgado and Ms.
Ciaramella were issued their complaint warrants and lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.
The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven
guilty in a court of law.
