Matthew P. Conlon
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and West Milford Township Police Chief
Shannon Sommerville announce that Matthew P. Conlon, of West Milford, New Jersey was
charged with Fourth Degree Criminal Sexual Contact and Harassment, a Petty Disorderly
Persons Offense, following an investigation conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s
Office Special Victims Unit and the West Milford Police Department.
On February 4, 2024, the West Milford Police Department received a report that Matthew
Conlon touched the intimate part of an adult victim in an unwelcome and inappropriate manner
within a residence in the Township of West Milford. The matter was then referred to the Passaic
County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim’s Unit. Based on the subsequent investigation, Mr.
Conlon was charged via complaint summons.
The sentencing exposure on fourth degree Criminal Sexual Contact is up to 18 months in
New Jersey State Prison and it is up to 30 days in county jail on petty disorderly persons
Harassment. The matter has been referred to the Grand Jury. Mr. Conlon is represented by

A criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite the accusation, defendants are
presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, in a court of law.
