1. On February 27th, 2024, the Guttenberg Police Department was notified by the North Bergen Police Department that
they had an adult male in custody with an active warrant issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Shortly after, 21-
year-old Shiv Patel of North Bergen, NJ, was transported to Guttenberg Police Department’s headquarters, where he
was placed under arrest. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Patel was released on his own recognizance,
pending his next court appearance at the Guttenberg Municipal Court.
2. On February 27th, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division
arrested 19-year-old Elsayed E. Abdalla of Bronx, NY, after discovering that he had an active warrant issued by the Union
Municipal Court. During the course of their investigation, officers also uncovered that Mr. Abdalla was in possession of
numerous credit cards, a New Jersey identification, and a social security card that did not belong to him. In addition, he
was also in possession of a folding knife. As a result, Mr. Abdalla was charged with trafficking in personal identifying
information of another [2C:21-17.3], taking, obtaining, or receiving credit cards [2C:21-6C(1)], theft of mislaid or lost
property [2C:20-6], forgery [2C:21-1A], and the unlawful possession of a weapon [2C:39-5D]. Upon the completion of his
arrest processing, Mr. Abdalla was issued his complaint summons, summonses for traffic violations, and then released
on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance.
3. On February 28th, 2024, during a criminal investigation, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal
Investigations Bureau arrested 33-year-old Armando A. Vitan Jr. of Little Ferry, NJ, after discovering that he was in
possession of a small clear baggie containing a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine, a re-sealable bag
containing a prescribed pill, three (3) small tabs believed to be LSD, and a small red plastic straw with white residue in it,
commonly utilized to inhale cocaine. Mr. Vitan Jr. was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his
arrest processing, where he was charged with three (3) counts of the possession of a controlled dangerous substance
[2C:35-10A(1)] and one (1) count of the possession of drug paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Upon the completion of his arrest
processing, Mr. Vitan Jr. was issued his complaint summons and released from police custody.
4. On March 2nd, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division
heard what they believed to be a nearby motor vehicle accident. After responding and confirming the accident, officers
began their on-scene investigation. During their investigation, officers arrested 34-year-old Alvarado S. Cameyajanel of
Weehawken, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Cameyajanel was then transported to the Guttenberg Police
Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Cameyajanel was issued
numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released into the custody of staff from the Palisades Medical
Center.
5. On March 3rd, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to 7000 Park Avenue
(Benny’s Liquors) for a report of a female who trespassed on their property. During their on-scene investigation, officers
arrested 39-year-old Christine E. Obrien of North Bergen, NJ, for defiant trespass [2C:18-3B(1)]. During her arrest, Ms.
Obrien resisted arrest and was also charged with resisting arrest [2C:29-2A(1)]. Ms. Obrien was then transported to the
Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Obrien was
issued her complaint summons and released from police custody.

guilty in a court of law.
