Secaucus Police Blotter 03/04/2024 to 03/10/2024

On 03/04/2024 at 8:31 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 51-year-old male, Jose Miranda of Rutherford, NJ for Exhibiting a Fraudulent Insurance Card [2C:21-2.3B]. Miranda was issued his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

On 03/05/2024 at 8:13 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Correctional Facility to take into custody a 42-year-old male, Randy Dunn of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Dunn was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 03/06/2024 at 9:39 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 37-year-old male, Silvano Tlapaya Luna for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Tlapaya Luna was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 03/07/2024 at 7:11 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 38-year-old female, Jessica Roberts of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Cherry Hill, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Roberts was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 03/07/2024 at 9:40 AM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a Burglary into a storage unit located at 250 Flanagan Way that contained multiple motorcycles that occurred on 11/22/23, the police arrested a 22-year-old male, Henry Nunez of Glendale, NY for 2 counts of Theft of a motor vehicle [2C:20-10.1] and Conspiracy to Commit Theft of a motor vehicle [2C:5-2A(1)]. Nunez was taken into custody at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Nunez was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 03/07/2024 at 9:09 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Correctional Facility to take into custody a 33-year-old male, Desmond Thomas of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Thomas was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 03/08/2024 at 2:31 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 54-year-old male, Ronald Cubias of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Cubias was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 03/08/2024 at 10:28 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 48-year-old male, Amauris Urena-Taveras of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Passaic County Superior Court with no bail. Officers from the Passaic County Sherriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to take into custody Mr. Urena-Taveras for transport back to their authority.

On 03/08/2024 at 10:39 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29-year-old male, Luis Medina Fernandez of Newark, NJ for Tampering with Public Records [2C:28-7A(3)] for having a device to conceal his license plate from public view and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, baseball bat [2C:39-5D]. Medina Fernandez was issued his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

On 03/09/2024 at 10:37 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 40-year-old male, Mohamed Hussein of Jersey City, NJ along with a 40-year- old female, Heba Ibrahim of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Both Mr. Hussein and Ms. Ibrahim were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 03/10/2024 at 9:08 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29-year-old male, Prince Crusoe of New York, NY along with a 29-year-old male, Angel Sanchez of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Both Mr. Crusoe and Mr. Sanchez were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
