Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge
Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 4:36 p.m. on March 16, 2024, members of the Paterson
Police Department were dispatched to the area of Summer Street and Fulton Street in Paterson,
New Jersey on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department
located a potential crime scene, but no victim was located. A short time later members of the
Paterson Police Department were informed that a 31-year-old male Paterson, New Jersey resident
arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey via private vehicle
seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes
available.
