Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of COREY W. BARRACLOUGH, 33, of South Hackensack, NJ on charges of distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck.

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of COREY BARRACLOUGH during the course of an Internet child sexual abuse material investigation. The investigation revealed that BARRACLOUGH used the Internet to view, download, possess, and distribute over 28,000 items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children.

As a result of the investigation, COREY BARRACLOUGH was arrested on Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Paramus, NJ and charged with first-degree distribution of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)5(a)(i); and second-degree possession of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)5(b)(ii). BARRACLOUGH was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the South Hackensack Police Department, New York City Police Department, and New Jersey State Parole Board for their assistance, as well as the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, Paramus Police Department, and U.S. Department of Homeland Security: Homeland Security Investigations, which all participate in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
