Secaucus Police Blotter 04/08/2024 to 04/14/2024

On 04/08/2024 at 6:24 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 200 Plaza Drive on a report of a motor vehicle crash where the one motor vehicle involved reportedly intentionally rear ended the other involved vehicle multiple times. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32-year-old male, Juan Alzate Gomez of Wallington, NJ for Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3A(1)], Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(2)], Stalking [2C:12-10B] and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D]. Alzate Gomez was further charged with Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3A(1)] in relation to an incident of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that occurred in the Walmart parking lot located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on 04/05/2024. Mr. Alzate was issued 2 separate complaint summonses for both incidents and was released from police custody.

On 04/08/2024 at 11:38 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting in which the involved individual reportedly displayed a knife. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25-year-old male, Yendry Figueroa-Reynoso of the Bronx, NY for Robbery [2C:15-1A(2)], Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D] and Conspiracy to commit Robbery [2C:5-2A(1)]. The police also arrested a 19 year old female, Cindy Matias of the Bronx, NY for Robbery [2C:15-1A(2)], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] by providing false information to law enforcement, Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug believed to be Promethazine Hydrochloride Syrup [2C:35-10.5A(3)] and Conspiracy to commit Robbery [2C:5-2A(1)]. Both Mr. Figueroa-Reynoso and Ms. Matias were issued their complaint warrants and were transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 04/10/2024 at 1:17 PM, Secaucus Police responded to T.J. Maxx located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29-year-old female, Analisa Colon of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)]. Colon was also found to have been involved in shoplifting incidents on the same date at Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive and Marshall’s located at 400 Millcreek Drive. Ms. Colon was charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] for the incident at Marshall’s and Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] for the incident at Walmart. Ms. Colon was issued 3 complaint warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 04/11/2024 at 3:17 PM, Secaucus Police responded to T.J. Maxx located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 50-year-old female, Rima Chernov of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. Chernov was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 04/14/2024 at 7:39 AM, Secaucus Police observed a parked motor vehicle in the parking lot of 460 Harmon Meadow Boulevard. While utilizing the Department issued MDT, the police were alerted that the owner of the motor vehicle did have 2 outstanding warrants issued for her arrest. During the investigation, the police arrested a 39-year-old female, Jessica Torres of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $50.00. Torres was released on her own recognizance in relation to the outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ pending a future court date. Ms. Torres was able to post bail for the outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ and she was released from police custody.

On 04/14/2024 at 5:09 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the 800 block of 5th Street on a report of an individual sleeping in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 46-year-old male, Seamus Burke of Nutley, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Burke was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
