Guttenberg Police Blotter - April 8th, 2024 to April 14th, 2024

1. On April 8th, 2024, the Guttenberg Police Department was contacted by the North Bergen Police Department, informing our agency that they had a male in custody with an active warrant issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. A short time later, officers from the North Bergen Police Department arrived at Guttenberg Police Headquarters with 22- year-old John Sanchez of Jersey City, NJ. Mr. Sanchez was then processed on the active warrant. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Sanchez was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the Guttenberg Municipal Court.

2. On April 9th, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 29-year-old Jalisa Jimenez of North Bergen, NJ, after discovering that she had an active warrant issued by the Elizabeth Municipal Court. Ms. Jimenez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Jimenez was transferred into the custody of officers from the Elizabeth Police Department.

3. On April 9th, 2024, the Guttenberg Police Department was contacted by the Union City Police Department, informing our agency that they had a male in custody, who had an active warrant issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Shortly after, officers from the Union City Police Department arrived at the Guttenberg Police Department with 28-yearold Antonio M. Castillo of Jersey City, NJ. At the Guttenberg Police Department, Mr. Castillo was processed for the active warrant and then released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the Guttenberg Municipal Court.


The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
