Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

The Tenafly Spring Fling is tomorrow, Saturday May 4th! 11 am to 4 pm at Huyler Park. Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, this is a spring event for the whole family to enjoy! A day of food, fun, games, art and more.

Get ready to be transported to a world of song, dance, and laughter as Tenafly High School proudly presents "Music Man: The Musical"! This timeless classic promises to be an unforgettable experience for the whole family, with performances tonight, May 3rd, and May 4th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are on sale at THS THEATRE .

Church of the Atonement’s Arts & Music Festival continues with a Cinco de Mayo Chamber Music Concert this Sunday at 5:00 pm; an evening of Poetry on Monday at 7:30 pm (bring a favorite poem or one of your own to recite), and a Jazz Concert finale on Wednesday at 5:00 pm. Admission for the Jazz Concert is $20/$5 for students. Atonement is located at 97 Highwood Avenue at the corner of Engle Street.

Best of luck to the Boys Lacrosse team who earned the 5th seed in the Bergen County Tournament. This marks the highest seed for the program in it's history. They play River Dell in Round 1 of the tournament this Saturday at 2:00 pm at Geissinger Field in Tenafly.

Join a festive family Cinco de Mayo party on May 5 at 5:30 pm with music, food and a conga line! Only $10 per person at the Presbyterian Church at 55 Magnolia Avenue, downstairs in the social hall.

This is the Elks National Youth Week recognizing the Elks for their contributions to youth activities and acknowledgement of the important link the Elks provide for volunteers and leaders to youth programs throughout the United States.

This Saturday at 2 pm families looking to explore their artistic side can join Crafty Critters at the Nature Center. Also this weekend is the plants for pollinators fundraiser. Please make a donation and receive your milkweed plants. Details at https://tenaflynaturecenter.org/

Come learn to Country Line Dance (hats and boots optional), play Canasta or paint with Watercolor! The Senior Center is offering a 6 week evening session starting Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30 pm. Call the Center to register. Country Line Dance class are accepting drop ins.

The Garden Clubs’ Mother’s Day plant sale is May 10th and 11th, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Greenhouse at Davis Johnson Park and Oresko Memorial Green. Flowering annuals in pots of varying sizes, hanging planters and flats will be available.

Sign-up for the Sunday, May 12th Rubin Run. Celebrating health and wellness for all ages and abilities, the Rubin Run also raises funds to support programs that make the JCC accessible and inclusive to our entire community. Register at www.jccotp.org
