Assault
April 10, 2024 (Bloomfield Avenue): The victim reported that he was riding the 28 New Jersey Transit Bus from Willowbrook Mall to Montclair. He reported that as he was exiting the bus at Bloomfield Avenue and South Park Street, he was punched in the face. He reported that as he was tussling with the suspect, he felt himself get stabbed in his left leg. He walked himself to Mountainside Hospital where he received stiches. Mountainside ER made notification to the police. The victim believed his attackers were on the 28 Bus with him. He described them as two Hispanic males one being 5'10" in height and wearing a black "Nike Tech type jacket". The second individual was described as a shorter Hispanic male approximately 5'3"-5'5" in height with what seemed to be a short haircut and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. Both males were wearing black Air Force 1 sneakers.

April 12, 2024 (Bloomfield Avenue): A female employee of the Montclair Parking Authority reported that she was working in the three hundred block of Bloomfield Avenue and had just completed issuing a summons. While walking away, she was struck in the head with a rock thrown by an unknown person. The parking enforcement officer was alert and conscious but complained of head and shoulder pain. She was treated on scene by Montclair EMS.

Motor Vehicle Crime
April 11, 2024 (Tichenor Place): The resident reported that his 2008 Mercedes 350 was stolen from in front of his residence. He had mistakenly left his keys inside of the car. A neighbor reported observing the car fleeing at a high rate of speed north on Nishuane Road at 12:30AM.

April 13, 2024 (Plymouth Street): The resident reported that his 2023 Acura RDX was stolen from his driveway. He reported that he has the key fob to his car and is unsure how the suspects were able to steal it.
