Guttenberg Police Blotter - April 29th, 2024 to May 5th, 2024

1. On April 29th, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division observed a male remove his pants, exposing his genitals, and begin to urinate inside of a flower pot on Bergenline Avenue. As officers began approaching the male, he began to run away. A short foot pursuit followed, leading to the arrest of 48-year-old Juan Polanco of Guttenberg, NJ, for obstructing the administration of law [2C:29-1A] and resisting arrest [2C:29-2A(1)]. Mr. Polanco was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Polanco was issued his complaint summons and released from police custody.

2. On April 29th, 2024, the Guttenberg Police Department was contacted by the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police, informing our agency that they had a female in their custody with an active warrant, issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division met with Officers of the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police and took custody of 39-year-old Mercedita Angeles of Guttenberg, NJ. Ms. Angeles was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Angeles was released on her own recognizance, pending her next court appearance with the Guttenberg Municipal Court.

3. On May 5th, 2024, the Guttenberg Police Department was contacted by the Clifton Police Department, informing our agency that they had a male in their custody with an active warrant, issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the Clifton Police Department and took custody of 25-year-old Moumen Mohammad of North Bergen, NJ. Mr. Mohammad was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Mohammad was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the Guttenberg Municipal Court.

4. On May 5th, 2024, the Guttenberg Police Department was contacted by the North Bergen Police Department, informing our agency that they had a male in their custody with an active warrant, issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. Shortly after, Officers from the North Bergen Police Department arrived at our police headquarters, where our Officers took custody of 21-year-old Derrick R. Feaster of North Bergen, NJ. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Feaster was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the Guttenberg Municipal Court.


The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
