On 05/07/2024 at 3:01 AM, Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of a physical altercation. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27-year-old male, Kevin Martinez of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Toms River, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Martinez was also charged with Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(1)]. Toms River did release Mr. Martinez on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Martinez was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 05/07/2024 at 7:32 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Paterson Plank Road and Harmon Meadow Boulevard on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 59-year-old male, Kenneth Werner of Paramus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Werner was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 05/07/2024 at 11:40 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22-year-old male, Jeyson Arias-Perez of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $750.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Guttenberg, NJ in the amount of $550.00. Arias-Perez was unable to post bail and he was subsequently transported to the Union City Police Department.

On 05/08/2024 at 3:59 AM, Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle strike a light pole at the parking deck of 45 Meadowlands Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30-year-old female, Darya Dzirsha of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Dzirsha was issued her motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 7 motor vehicle summonses and she was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 05/08/2024 at 7:17 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of Buchmuller Park located at 150 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a motor vehicle parked in the handicap space without a placard. During the investigation, the police arrested a 26-year-old male, Justin Perez of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Kearny, NJ in the amount of $600.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Newark, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Perez was released on his own recognizance in relation to the outstanding warrant issued out of East Newark, NJ. Mr. Perez was able to post bail for the involved warrant issued out of Kearny, NJ. Mr. Perez was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

On 05/08/2024 at 8:53 PM, Secaucus Police who was on Bicycle Patrol, observed 2 individuals engaged in a physical fight on the basketball court at Buchmuller Park located at 150 Plaza Centre Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 20-year-old male, Jose Baez-Corchado of Newark, NJ along with a 19-year-old male, Joseph Tormey of Secaucus, NJ for Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(1)]. Both Mr. Baez-Corchado along with Mr. Tormey were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 05/09/2024 at 12:12 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 38-year-old male, Franklin Simmons of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $600.00 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Simmons was released on his own recognizance in relation to the warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Simmons was able to post bail for the outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $600.00 10%. Mr. Simmons was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

On 05/10/2024 at 9:00 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the La Quinta Inn located at 350 Lighting Way on a report of a trespassing where an individual was refusing to leave. During the investigation, the police arrested a 45-year-old female, Mary Wesby of Virginia Beach, VA for Defiant Trespassing [2C:18-3B]. Wesby was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Atlantic City, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Trenton, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Both the Atlantic City along with Trenton did release Ms. Wesby on her own recognizance pending future court dates. Ms. Wesby was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 05/12/2024 at 4:14 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting incident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 39-year-old female, Talia Danon of Wanaque, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. The police also arrested a 46-year-old male, Brian Mcelfresh of Teterboro, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Danon was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $750.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hawthorne, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Fairlawn, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. Mr. Mcelfresh was found to have 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Totowa, NJ in the amount of $1,750.00. Both Ms. Danon and Mr. Mcelfresh were issued their complaint warrants and were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
