Guttenberg Police Blotter - May 13th, 2024 to May 19th, 2024

1. On May 18th, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division observed two females fighting on the 200 block of 70th Street. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 19-year-old Alexandra Naula of Guttenberg, NJ, and 20-year-old Pilar J. Torres of Union City, NJ, for simple assault [2C:12-1A(1)]. Ms. Naula and Ms. Torres were both transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for their arrest processing. Upon the completion of their arrest processing, they were both issued their complaint summons and released from police custody.

2. On May 18th, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Broadway. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 51-year-old Jesus Perez-Mendoza of West New York, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Perez-Mendoza was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. PerezMendoza was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released to staff of the Palisades Medical Center.

3. On May 19th, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the 300 block of 69th Street after receiving a report of a male asleep inside of his vehicle. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 27-year-old Jorge L. Baez-Lopez of Jersey City, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Baez-Lopez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Baez-Lopez was issued his summonses for traffic violations and then released to staff of the Palisades Medical Center.


The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
