On May 1, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Griffin responded to Nordstroms in the Short Hills on a report of
theft that just occurred. Nordstrom associates reported that Avento Hilliard, age 61, of Newark,
concealed $144.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was placed under
arrest and charged with shoplifting.
On May 3, 2024, during early morning hours, Millburn police responded to Wellington Ave and Whitney
Rd residences on a report of multiple vehicles that had been attempted to be burglarized. The
investigation revealed it was the same actor who attempted to enter these vehicles but was
unsuccessful due to the cars being locked. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn
Police Detective Bureau.
On May 3, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Goldfarb responded to Sunglass Hut at the Mall at Short Hills for
a report of theft that just occurred. Gucci associates reported that Christine O’Driscoll, age 28, of
Paterson concealed $731.00 of merchandise, and left the store without paying. The suspect was located
and placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.
On May 5, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Kelly responded to Nordstroms in Short Hills on a report of theft
that just occurred. Nordstrom associates reported that Pavel Petrov, age 20, and Furkan Yildirrim, age
24, both from Newark, concealed $2,466 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. The
two suspects were placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.
On May 11, 2024, Millburn Police responded to the Short Hills Mall on a report of a male who refused to
leave. The mall was not yet opened to the public. Mall security asked the male, Corey Harrison, age 39,
of Irvington to leave the Mall property multiple times but he refused. Millburn Police arrived and asked
him to leave. At this time, he was placed under arrest and charged with trespassing.
On May 11th, 2024, Millburn police responded to a burglary of a residence on Randall Dr that occurred in
the evening hours. A male subject had forced entry into the residence. The male actor fled when the
homeowner encountered them. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police
Detective Bureau.
On May 11, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Kelly responded to Mejuri in the Short Hills on a report of theft
that just occurred. Mejuri manager reported that Sheriffa Mckessey, age 37, of Flemington, concealed
$2,324.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspect was located and placed under
arrest and charged with shoplifting.
On May 13, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Genitempo responded to a Fairfield Drive residence on a
report of burglary to a vehicle. The owner reported that someone entered his unlocked 2020 BMW 330.
There was nothing taken. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective
Bureau.
On May 14, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Sunglass Hut at the Short Hills Mall on a theft that just
occurred. Sunglass Hut Associate reported that two females had just concealed merchandise valued at
$1,315.00 and left the store without paying. Millburn Officer stopped the one suspect driving in a
vehicle outside the mall. Laquanda Griggs, age 40, of Elizabeth, was placed under arrest and charged
with shoplifting and possession of CDS. The other female was located walking inside the mall and ran
from Millburn officers. Millburn Officer Matos was able to stop Vanessa Polanco, age 32, of Linden NJ.
She had multiple stolen items from Tory Burch and LULU Lemon. She was charged with two counts of
shoplifting and resisting arrest.
On May 15, 2024, Millburn Officers responded to CVS on Millburn Ave on a report of a suspicious male
who was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot. The Driver Daniel Jonas, age 31, of New Durham NH, had
an active warrant out of Union. He was placed under arrest. A search of the suspect recovered CDS. He
was charged with possession of CDS and was Released. The passenger Anna Wnorowski, age 40, of
Maplewood, had an active warrant out of Millburn and Union. She was placed under arrest and
transported to Millburn HQ. She posted bail at HQ and was released.
On May 17, 2021, Millburn Police Officer Kerwien responded to a Hartshorn Drive residence for a vehicle
theft report. The resident reported that his 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from his driveway
overnight. It was reported that the key fob was left in the unlocked vehicle. This incident is under
investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or
are found guilty in a court of law.
