Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 34-year-old DAWID S. As previously reported, on Thursday, May 23, 2024, the Englewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged incident of criminal sexual assault by sexual contact against a juvenile under the age of thirteen. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Englewood Police Department revealed that DAWID IWASZEK exposed himself and masturbated in public while in the presence of a juvenile under the age of thirteen. On Friday, May 24, 2024, DAWID IWASZEK was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal sexual assault by sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b; third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1), and fourth-degree lewdness, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-4b(1).
During the course of the investigation, similarities were noted between this incident and at least two other incidents that previously occurred in the Englewood and Teaneck area. As a result of the continuing investigation, those two other incidents involving separate victims were determined to have been committed by DAVID IWASZEK. Specifically, in the additional Englewood incident, the investigation revealed that IWASZEK exposed himself and masturbated in public while in the presence of a child under the age of thirteen. In the Teaneck incident, the investigation revealed that IWASZEK exposed himself in a public place and masturbated.

IWASZEK was also charged by the Teaneck Police Department with a disorderly persons offense of lewdness, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-4a. IWASZEK was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
