Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 4:56 p.m. on June 2, 2024, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Main Street and Chadwick Street on report of an assault. The victim of the assault was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. While at the hospital Paterson Police were notified that a 45-year-old male Paterson resident and a 28-year-old male Paterson resident had arrived seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds, from an incident which occurred at the same location as the assault. Members of the Paterson Police Department were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
