We are happy to announce the opening of the Ho-Ho-Kus Community Garden at Borough Hall! The Garden’s mission is to grow organic produce to put food on the plates of those who need it most. We will grow, harvest, and supply fresh produce to neighbors in need in and around our community on a weekly basis. The Garden’s produce will also be sold to our residents on select Farm Days with donated proceeds supporting garden operations.
We’ll kick off the 2024 gardening season with a Garden Tour. Join us in the Garden on Wednesday, June 26th from 9:00AM-12:00PM and 5:00PM-7:00PM. We look forward to seeing you!
The initiative heavily relies on volunteers who can participate in various garden activities such as planting, weeding, and harvesting, or in distributing the produce. By building a network of committed volunteers, the Ho-Ho-Kus community can come together to make a difference! Training is provided; your enthusiasm and dedication are valued more than gardening expertise!
Volunteer information will be available at the Garden Tour.
Starting July 2nd, please check the Borough website for open hours on Tuesday & Sunday mornings & Thursday evenings. We will have some fun community events as well!
Volunteers may sign-up to work in the Garden at https://www.hhkborough.com/ho-ho-kus-community-garden, or scan the QR code on the flyer. Thank you for your help!
If you would like to bring a group to the Garden, please reach out to communitygarden@ho-ho-kusboro.com.
