On 06/18/2024 at 2:42 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take custody of a 35-year-old female, Alicia Hurtado of North Plainfield, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Hurtado was unable to post bail and she was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/18/2024 at 5:04 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24-year-old male, Marlon Bermudez-Menas of Prospect Heights, IL for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Bermudez-Menas was found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Springfield, Illinois with no bail. Mr. Bermudez-Menas was also charged with being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Bermudez-Menas was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/19/2024 at 4:36 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old male, Jerome Harris of Irvington, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hillside, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00. Hillside did release Mr. Harris on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Harris was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

On 06/19/2024 at 9:17 PM, Officers from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and transported a 36-year-old female, Gabriela Acosta of Paramus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Acosta was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Teaneck, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Teaneck did release Ms. Acosta on her own recognizance pending a future court date. Ms. Acosta was able to post bail for the warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ and she was released from police custody.

On 06/21/2024 at 3:42 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male, Kiyaun Hansford of Paterson, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property, a license plate, [2C:20-7A] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Hansford was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clifton, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $750.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Haledon, NJ in the amount of $750.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Allamuchy, NJ in the amount of $650.00. Mr. Hansford was additionally charged with Theft [2C:20-3A] in regards to a theft of an electric dirt bike that occurred on 05/19/2024 in the area of Mainsail Lane. The police also arrested a 23-year-old female, Anyssa Carmona of Paterson, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property, a license plate, [2C:20-7A]. Ms. Carmona was additionally charged with Theft of Services [2C:20-8A] in relation to an incident that took place at Fuel 4 located at 445 Route 3 East on 06/20/2024. During this incident, it was found that Ms. Carmona did not pay for the fuel she received for her vehicle. Mr. Hansford was issued 2 complaint warrants along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. Ms. Carmona was issued 2 complaint summonses along with 8 motor vehicle summonses and she was released from police custody.

On 06/23/2024 at 1:38 PM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious individual in the area of 55 Meadowlands Parkway who was throwing rocks towards the parking lot of the Hudson Regional Hospital. During the investigation, the police arrested a 47-year-old male, Sava Boric of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Boric was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
