Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 4:07 p.m. on July 3, 2024, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Broadway and Main Street on a report of a shooting. While on scene Paterson Police located a 56-year-old female victim from Clifton, New Jersey and a 35-year-old male victim from Paterson, New Jersey. The victims were transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment of non-fatal gunshot wounds. Members of the Paterson Police Department were able to locate a potential crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
