On 07/01/2024 at 3:07 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old female, Gianelly Alfaro of Hackensack, NJ for Tampering with Public Records [2C:28-7A(3)]. Alfaro was issued her complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and she was released from police custody.

On 07/01/2024 at 6:12 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 21-year-old male, Franklin Flores of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Flores was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

On 07/01/2024 at 6:55 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a dispute stemming from a road rage incident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 52-year-old male, Vincent Dupont of Jersey City, NJ for Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(3)] and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, a box-cutter [2C:39-4D]. Dupont was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 07/02/2024 at 8:39 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male, Javier Rivas of Newark, NJ for Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)]. Rivas was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and he was released from police custody.

On 07/02/2024 at 2:03 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 40-year-old female, Carolina Ogando-DeMejia of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Employing a Juvenile in the commission of a Crime [2C:24-9A] and Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4]. The police also arrested a 13-year-old female of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Ogando-DeMejia was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody. The 13 year old juvenile was issued her juvenile complaint summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 07/02/2024 at 8:04 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred at Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on 06/26/2024, the police responded to the Union Police Department to take into custody a 23-year-old female, Tayana Marie of Hiawatha, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Eluding [2C:29-2B] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(2)]. Marie was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 07/02/2024 at 8:05 PM, Secaucus Police arrested a 46-year-old male, Richard Lago of Rockaway, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Williamstown, NJ with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Kearny, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Brunswick, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Williamstown, NJ with no bail. Lago was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Lago was subsequently transported to the New Jersey State Police Barracks in Cranbury, NJ where custody was subsequently transferred to the Monroe Township Police.

On 07/03/2024 at 05:49 AM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to an Eluding incident following a motor vehicle stop that occurred on 01/22/2024, Officers from the Union City Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and transferred custody of a 22-year-old male, Bernardo Montanez of Union City, NJ for Eluding [2C:29-2B]. Montanez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 07/03/2024 at 4:07 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to a Theft incident that occurred at 200 Flanagan Way on 06/27/2024, Secaucus Police arrested a 58-year-old male, Timothy Firtion of Secaucus, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A] and Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3A]. Firtion was taken into custody at 151 Front Street. Mr. Firtion was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 07/03/2024 at 9:15 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to a theft that occurred at Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on 07/02/2024, the police arrested a 46-year-old female, Lorena Salazar of West New York, NJ for Theft of Property Lost/Mislaid [2C:20-6]. Salazar was taken into custody at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Ms. Salazar was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 07/04/2024 at 5:23 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30-year-old male, Edward Riedinger of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Riedinger was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 07/05/2024 at 9:23 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowland Parkway on a report of a well-being check. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36-year-old male, Christopher Mattice of Springfield, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Springfield, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. Springfield did release Mr. Mattice on his own recognizance pending a future court date and he was released from police custody.

On 07/05/2024 at 2:58 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Dunkin Donuts located at 216 County Avenue on a report of a male who had brandished a knife and demanded free food in the establishment. He then slashed the tire of a Dunkin Donuts employee’s vehicle and fled, where he was found hiding in a nearby shed. A knife was found in his possession at the time of his arrest. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36-year-old male, Isaiah Shaw, non-domiciled, for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3A(1)] and Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3A(1)]. Shaw was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 07/07/2024 at 1:41 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Union Police Department to take into custody a 22-year-old male, Christopher Culquialmeida of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Culquialmeida was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 07/07/2024 at 2:54 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Route 3 West in the area of the Maple Street ramp on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25-year-old male, Joseph Oliveros of Belleville, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Oliveros was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.


These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
