Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 9:57 p.m. on July 21, 2024, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Prospect Street and Market Street on a report of a shooting. Paterson Police located a 43-year-old female from Paterson, New Jersey who suffered non-fatal gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound. Members of the Paterson Police Department were able to locate a potential crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
